The programme offers flexible elective pathways, allowing learners to specialise in high-demand areas such as networking, web design, or e-commerce.

RQF Level 4 (Mandatory 4 Units)

Build essential mathematical and statistical skills for IT. Learn functions, equations, matrices, probability, and data analysis to solve problems, interpret results, and support decision making in computing and technology.

Develop essential skills in assembling and maintaining PCs, installing and configuring Windows and Linux operating systems, and troubleshooting hardware and software to ensure smooth system performance.

Gain hands-on skills in photo editing and digital design using Photoshop and Illustrator, alongside core knowledge of database systems. Learn relational databases, ER modeling, normalization, and SQL for creating and managing databases.

Optional Units (Choose any 2 Units)

Develop knowledge of logical networking, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, IP addressing, subnetting, and network design. Learn to analyse network layers and implement security protocols to protect data and systems.

Gain practical skills in physical networking and basic network administration. Learn to configure LAN devices, apply networking standards, and implement security protocols to maintain a safe and efficient network.

Develop skills in designing and building websites using HTML and CSS. Learn to create attractive, user-friendly, and secure sites, integrate databases, apply meta tags and CMS tools, and ensure cross-platform performance.

Develop server-side programming skills using PHP and MySQL. Build dynamic web pages, interactive applications, and integrate databases to create fully functional websites.

Learn GUI programming with Java, including objects, classes, events, and layout managers. Create effective, user-friendly applications and test them against design requirements.

 Develop core programming skills and create Android applications using Java. Learn control structures, loops, mobile UI design, and tools to publish responsive, touch-friendly apps.

RQF Level 5

Learn how to establish and manage a technology-focused business. Gain skills in planning, marketing, finance, intellectual property protection, and business model evaluation to successfully launch a new venture.

Develop expertise in network security, including authentication, malware protection, intrusion detection, remote access, and disaster recovery. Learn how to safeguard networks using modern security tools and practices

Gain practical knowledge of ASP.NET programming using C#. Create dynamic web applications, integrate relational databases via ADO.NET, and develop interactive server-side solutions for web deployment.

Learn to manage and administer Linux and Windows systems. Topics include user and group management, file systems, shell scripting, servers, backup and restore, policy management, and performance tuning.

Learn router and switch configuration, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, inter-VLAN routing, and multi-area networks.

Explore hierarchical network design, VLANs, NAT, remote connections, troubleshooting, and administration tasks.

Gain skills in CMS platforms for content creation, modelling, aggregation, migration, and publication management.

Learn client-side programming, dynamic web pages, form validation, multimedia integration, JavaScript, and Dreamweaver.
