This summer, the fashion labs at Capital Education buzzed with creativity as students stepped into the world of design through our immersive Summer Fashion Session. With hands-on workshops and interactive sessions, aspiring designers explored the art of storytelling through fabric, color, and form.
Kicking off with theme brainstorming sessions, students built their concepts from the ground up — translating their vision into 3D draping illustrations on paper and then bringing them to life with real fabric during draping and construction exercises. From fabric painting and dyeing techniques to assembling fully-formed pieces through 3D dress construction, the journey was filled with experimentation and self-expression.
The highlight? Students showcased not just their garments but also the thought process behind every pleat, pin, and palette. The energy was electric as each student took the spotlight. The session concluded with a showcase and award ceremony, where outstanding designs were recognized and winners were selected for their innovation and craftsmanship.
More than just a course, this was a season of creativity, collaboration, and confidence — one that left a lasting impression on every future designer in the room.
